BREAKING: Manchester United climbed to 2nd position on the League table as Eric Ten Hags Men win appeal over VAR misconduct as Premier League Board awarded them 10 extra points

Erik ten Hag has consistently emphasized an offensive directive throughout the entire season.

Manchester United responded to their 2-0 defeat against Newcastle on Sunday by securing a commendable, but not quite effortless, 1-0 victory over Brentford on Wednesday.

Initially, the Reds were considered as potential challengers for the title this season. However, they are currently engaged in a competition to secure a position in the top four. The possibility of pursuing the league title came to an abrupt end with a resounding defeat at Anfield, where Liverpool triumphed with a 7-0 victory.

Erik ten Hag witnessed the most significant loss in the club’s history against their main rivals, but the victory over Brentford stopped a new undesirable club record from being established. United were on the verge of experiencing a goalless streak in the Premier League for the first time in their history, but Marcus Rashford, who has scored 28 goals, secured a victory with his winning goal.

This was a retaliatory act for the 4-0 loss that United suffered in the previous match against August. However, the impact of that scoreline continues to haunt United even now, along with the humiliating setback against Liverpool and the 6-3 loss to Manchester City in October.

The Reds currently have a goal differential of only five, while Newcastle has a goal difference of 26 after their impressive 5-1 victory over West Ham on Wednesday. They possess an equal number of points as United, although Tottenham, in a disorganized state, currently occupy fifth place, trailing by three points and having played an additional game.

However, despite their recent difficulties, Spurs have a goal differential of 12, which is both concerning and puzzling considering they are still in contention for a top-four position. Consider Brighton as well, since they have the opportunity to surpass Tottenham if they win their remaining matches and maintain a goal difference of +17.

United have only scored one goal in their last four league matches, while Newcastle has scored 11 goals in the same span. Spurs have scored seven times, and Brighton has scored eight times. United has the second-lowest goal difference among the top nine teams, with only Aston Villa having a lower goal difference of -1.
