Erling Haaland’s limping during training has presented Manchester City with a serious injury concern just before the season’s final international break.

Fears of an injury surfaced when the striker was substituted off in the second half of Saturday’s FA Cup quarterfinal victory over Newcastle. Nonetheless, Pep Guardiola downplayed this and urged his players to exercise caution when serving their nation.

“He is not my player anymore from now on, what they will decide will be fine,” he stated. “They are aware that getting to this point required a great deal of training, adrenaline, and focus in addition to a great deal of fighting.

“They understand that these are friendly games and that they must play it sensibly. I hope they succeed.”

Nonetheless, footage showing Haaland stooped over while working out with Norway, clutching his knees during a workout, and ambling around the practice fields is immediately alarming. The forward didn’t seem to be moving well, but he tried to play through the issue.

After stumbling around for ten seconds, he shook his head and bowed in apparent pain. Haaland will now aim to return to full fitness in time for the upcoming week’s games against Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

Next up for City is another matchup between top-tier Premier League teams, this time against Arsenal. The teams will square off at Etihad Stadium on March 31.
