On Saturday, Virgil van Dijk turned 32. He celebrated with DJ Calvin Harris in style in Ibiza, and it was a birthday celebration he won’t soon forget.

Although he is currently the fourth-oldest player in Jurgen Klopp’s lineup, Liverpool’s defensive anchor will be the first to tell you he still has a lot of years left in him.

Like most of his Liverpool teammates, Van Dijk had an uneven season. He took advantage of the summer break, and a few days before heading back for preseason, he had one last celebration.

There weren’t many better ways to celebrate turning 32 than Ibiza, Kevin De Bruyne, and an invitation to the stage during Calvin Harris’s performance.

The Dutchman described his Friday night’s stage debut as “crazy,” and you can understand why. He was clearly thrilled and overwhelmed.

Since Harris served as the DJ for the trophy parade in 2022, the Liverpool team and Harris have developed a close relationship; Harvey Elliott was also pictured with Harris in the summer.

The celebration of Van Dijk’s birthday coincides with his return to the preseason on Tuesday, where he will be reunited with his international teammates following an additional three days off.

The Liverpool No. 4 will first go through a battery of fitness assessments, which will include the lactate test, before the team concentrates on their training camp with Germany.

Following their U21 Euro victory, Klopp should be without only Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones starting on Tuesday. The manager will have 33 days to prepare his team for the league opener at Stamford Bridge.
