Seaman attained that specific statistic in the 1993–94 season. Although City spent the majority of the next 15 years in the Premier League’s midtable—they even dropped to the Second Division in 1998 before winning back-to-back promotions—their dominance since then has meant that few goalkeepers have kept a clean sheet against them.

Raya, who joined the Gunners on loan from Brentford in the summer, has kept 16 clean sheets this season and has shown manager Mikel Arteta how valuable he is.

After the Spaniard’s stellar season in goal, Arsenal is expected to exercise their option to purchase the goalkeeper permanently for £27 million when the summer transfer window opens.
