Jadon Sancho has made his first public statement about Manchester United since departing the club, in response to their thrilling victory against Liverpool.

United secured a remarkable 4-3 victory against their long-standing rivals Liverpool in a very significant FA Cup quarter-final match on Sunday.

Amad Diallo secured a victory for Erik ten Hag’s team at Old Trafford in the 121st minute, propelling them into the semi-finals at Wembley. This result keeps their chances of winning the trophy alive and puts an end to Liverpool’s hopes of winning four titles.

United initially gained an advantage with an early goal from Scott McTominay, but then fell behind at halftime when Alexis Mac Allister and Mohamed Salah scored in rapid succession.

Antony equalized for United in the 87th minute, but they once again fell behind when Harvey Elliot scored in extra-time.

However, the hosts made a stunning comeback, with Marcus Rashford scoring a goal to level the score, and Diallo’s subsequent goal brought great excitement to the home crowd.

Jadon Sancho, a player from the United team, may have been observing with a sense of jealousy.

In January, the English winger departed from the club on a loan agreement for the remainder of the season, subsequently rejoining his previous team, Borussia Dortmund.

Manchester United expended £73 million to acquire Sancho from the Bundesliga club in 2021. However, due to a public dispute with Ten Hag, he was excluded from the first team squad in September.

The 23-year-old has experienced a combination of positive and negative outcomes since returning to Germany. On Sunday, he was there on the bench but did not participate in his team’s 3-1 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt.

Sancho commended Rashford on Instagram.
