According to reports, Manchester City’s Erling Haaland has made fun of Arsenal star Myles Lewis-Skelly after the latter received a red card during the match against West Ham United.

On Saturday afternoon, the Gunners made their return to Premier League action with the goal of reducing the gap between themselves and the leaders, Liverpool.

After Liverpool’s match against Aston Villa, which ended in a 2-2 draw earlier in the week, the team led by Mikel Arteta was aware that a victory would reduce the gap to just five points.

However, Arsenal turned in a poor performance, and Graham Potter’s team was able to pull off an unexpected victory by a score of 1-0 thanks to Jarrod Bowen’s goal in the first half.

Lewis-Skelly, a star player for the Gunners, was shown a red card in the second half for bringing down Mohammed Kudus, a forward for the Hammers.

After a review by the video assistant referee, the yellow card that was initially given to the 18-year-old player was changed to a red card.

In the aftermath of the incident, a picture was shared on social media that depicted a couple of fans making fun of Lewis-Skelly while simultaneously recreating Haaland’s signature meditation celebration.

In the aftermath of Arsenal’s 5-1 victory over City, Lewis-Skelly was observed imitating Haaland’s celebration after scoring the third goal after the match.

Following the red card that Myles Lewis-Skelly received, Erling Haaland ‘trolls’ Arsenal.
According to The Mirror, the image of the two West Ham fans re-creating Haaland’s celebration was liked on Instagram by the City player himself. The image has been shared by The Mirror.

After the game, Arsenal manager Arteta voiced his frustration with the team’s performance.

He stated, “I am extremely dissatisfied, and it is obvious that I am also very angry.” We are obligated to extend our congratulations to West Ham for their victory and the game that they played; however, I believe that there was a lot on our side that we never ended up getting right.

There is no way around our anger. I am very much responsible for the fact that we did not meet the levels today, and I am very angry. I hope that we are, because we did not meet the levels,”

Arteta continued by saying, “It is my responsibility for the team to play significantly better than it did that day.” To play much better, with much more quality, and with much more interaction, we need to improve our game. It is my responsibility that it is not satisfactory.

When the Gunners square off against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Wednesday evening, they will be back in action in the Premier League.
