Man United is reportedly “genuinely interested” in bringing a £25 million Chelsea player to Old Trafford.

Chelsea star Trevoh Chalobah is an inexpensive option for Man United to consider if their main targets fail to materialize. The Red Devils are still in the transfer market looking for a center-back.

After completing a £59 million deal with Lille for the highly-rated 18-year-old, Erik ten Hag has already added Leny Yoro to his squad, and the Dutch coach has no intention of stopping there.

Ben Jacobs claims that the two players Man United has been linked to, Matthijs de Ligt of Bayern Munich and Jarrad Branthwaite of Everton, are now too expensive for the major clubs in the Premier League to purchase.

Trevoh Chalobah of Chelsea, who is expected to depart Stamford Bridge this summer, might be a possibility for the two, according to the transfer expert.

Man United is rumoured to have “genuine interest” in the 25-year-old defender, who the West London club is looking for offers around £25 million for.

The center-back’s versatility as a right-back makes a transfer to West Ham United with Aaron Wan-Bissaka much more alluring.

The defender’s destiny is expected to be decided over the next several weeks as Newcastle and Fulham are also keeping an eye on his circumstances. Chalobah was left out of Chelsea’s preseason tour squad.

Trevoh Chalobah of Chelsea would be a wise addition for Manchester United.
Man United would be wise to sign Chalobah since the defender is not only adaptable and Premier League-ready, but he will also not come at a high financial cost to the Manchester team.

This would allow up money to bolster other areas of Ten Hag’s team, like central midfield, where United is rumoured to be chasing a move for Manuel Ugarte of PSG.

Mauricio Pochettino was impressed by Chalobah’s 17 appearances for Chelsea in the previous season following his recovery from a hamstring injury.
