Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, has identified Brentford as the team that consistently poses a formidable challenge to his side. Prior to their next Premier League encounter at the Emirates Stadium, Arteta cautioned that Arsenal consistently encounter difficulties while facing Brentford.

Arsenal is currently in exceptional form, having netted a total of 24 goals in their previous five Premier League matches, which notably includes a resounding 6-0 triumph against Sheffield United on Monday. Arsenal have triumphed in their previous seven encounters in the Premier League, recovering from a decline in performance during the month of December.

Nevertheless, Arteta is cautious about Thomas Frank’s Brentford, who recently managed to secure a 2-2 draw against Chelsea. The Bees has formidable players such as Ivan Toney and Neal Maupay, who can present a significant challenge to their opponents. Toney, a highly regarded forward in the Premier League, has been rumored to be considering a transfer to Arsenal. Meanwhile, Maupay is renowned for his capacity to provoke and irritate opposing teams.

Brentford secured a draw in their match against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium last season. This was due to an exceptional performance on the road – one of the outcomes that resulted in Arsenal losing their position at the top of the league, which they had held for 248 days.

Anticipating the upcoming rematch this weekend, Arteta expressed his disappointment, stating: “Every point that we failed to secure in the previous season is a source of pain.” The object remains in its current location without any changes. However, we have a significant amount of motivation to compete. We are aware of the challenging nature of the match. We consistently experience difficulties when playing against Brentford.

The Bees triumphed over Arsenal in the inaugural match of the 2021/22 season following their promotion from the Championship the previous season.
