DONE DEAL Man Utd submit new Branthwaite bid after brutal Yoro injury update, as bizarre Everton stance on sale emerges

Manchester United is prepared to make another offer for the Everton star. Jarrad Branthwaite following the discovery that Leny Yoro would miss longer than anticipated, and an odd assertion about Everton’s position on a sale has been made in a report.
Three weeks ago, Man United completed a £52 million deal with Lille to get Yoro, right beneath Real Madrid’s nose.
Yoro is one of the best young defenders in the world of football, despite an unfortunate early setback to his Manchester United career.
The centre-back broke his metatarsal during United’s preseason game against Arsenal on July 28. The problem needed to be fixed surgically, therefore on Monday, August 5, Yoro had surgery.
It was first anticipated that Yoro would be out of commission for two or three months. The Sun now claims Yoro will miss at least three months of work and might not be back in operation until 2025. Returning in January would mean missing nearly half the season.
Man Utd always planned to buy two new centre backs this summer, having already sold Willy Kambwala to Villarreal and allowed Raphael Varane to leave via free agency. Additionally, Victor Lindelof is for sale.
Matthijs De Ligt of Bayern Munich has agreed to personal terms. According to the most recent information from Germany, he and fellow Bayern defender Noussair Mazraoui WILL join with Manchester United.
Man Utd is preparing a second bid for Branthwaite.
However, the Sun claims that Man Utd are prepared to re-enter the race for Everton and England star Branthwaite as well, in place of Yoro being out longer than anticipated.
United is allegedly “plotting a fresh bid for Jarrad Branthwaite,” who the Times had said had personal terms agreed upon with the Red Devils.
The Sun then makes an odd assertion about Branthwaite’s future at Everton, though.
According to the source, “Everton may be interested in an offer of £50 million, and United may be willing to go that far in order to land” the player.
That assertion seems very strange considering that Man Utd has previously made two bids for Everton, the largest of which being £50 million (£45 million plus £5 million in add-ons).
Furthermore, Everton’s top centre back won’t be sold until their entire £70 million asking price is fulfilled, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.
Additionally, the June 30 PSR deadline has long gone passed. This is believed to be one of the reasons Everton would have been willing to move the defender.
Therefore, Man Utd might be getting ready to make another attempt at signing Branthwaite, as the Sun suggests. However, it’s obvious that a £50 million offer won’t be enough to win Everton over.
If Man United does plan to recruit a replacement for Yoro, Mario Hermoso, a free agent, is a lot less expensive option than Branthwaite.
The 29-year-old former Atletico Madrid defender’s interest in United was made known on Saturday morning.
