Arsenal’s 6-0 victory against Sheffield United was accompanied by the anticipation of long-awaited comebacks and nervous excitement. Following Gabriel Jesus, Fabio Vieira, and Thomas Partey’s return from the bench after a prolonged absence due to individual fitness issues this season, there remained a significant concern for the future.

The absence of Bukayo Saka in the second half at Bramall Lane, along with his teammates, immediately raised concerns. These concerns intensified when Gabriel Martinelli also had to be substituted 20 minutes later. It was the sole drawback on yet another day of triumph for the Gunners.

They currently have the opportunity to become the leaders of the Premier League. The duration of the event could range from less than 24 hours to extending over the course of the next three weeks and into the international break. A fleeting chance to compel their competitors to catch up has now arisen.

Fortunately, Mikel Arteta’s team for this crucial phase of the season is becoming increasingly robust. Saka and Martinelli are both poised to make an immediate comeback, along with other players who were previously absent also progressing towards a return.

“Martinelli and Bukayo had minimal complications,” stated the head coach on Thursday at the Sobha Realty training field. “We are confident that they will be able to participate in that.” However, we will need to assess their emotions and opinions.

In a somewhat insignificant matter of increased worry, both players have been absent from the photographs that were made available from the pre-game training sessions. However, it should be noted that Takehiro Tomiyasu has not been photographed either, although Arteta expressed optimism about his return. “He is in close proximity, currently engaged in an activity on the grass, and we anticipate his imminent presence among us,” was the most recent update regarding the full-back.
