The legend of Manchester United, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has not been employed since leaving Old Trafford in 2021, although he may be returning to the Premier League in time for the 2024–2025 campaign.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the hero of Manchester United, is vying with a former teammate for the Leicester City position as he looks to return to the Premier League.

With Enzo Maresca leaving for Chelsea, the Foxes are looking for a new manager. In recent weeks, a number of names have been mentioned as potential transfers to the King Power Stadium.

Leicester may now look to manager and former Manchester United player Solskjaer. The Sun claims that discussions about the vacancy have taken place between club executives and the Norwegian.

Solskjaer, who hasn’t played football since leaving Old Trafford in 2021, seems to be eager to start the position. At the club, Ralf Rangnick took his place before to Erik ten Hag’s arrival in Manchester.

The 51-year-old has acknowledged in the past that he has requirements that a job must satisfy for him to accept it. “My best friend, who doubles as my agent, sorts through them [offers],” he declared. Having managed Manchester United, you have your own standards for the people you wish to collaborate with. I adore the Premier League and England.

Even though the Championship seems more powerful than before, I don’t feel obligated to England. Perhaps a different task requiring me to immerse myself in a foreign language and culture.

“The club’s identity and DNA are significant; it’s a place where I can be my best self. There must be a match. Perhaps it was a bad idea for me to travel to Cardiff, for example, where there was a collision of styles and identities.

“Working with wonderful people, coming in every day, talking football, and organising our strategy for the upcoming game is what I miss the most. Forms are important, but so is fostering a work environment where employees take pride in their work and work as a cohesive team.”
